Happy New Year to you all.
I thought that my first post would reflect back on last year with a few photo’s of good fish caught. Its time also to start thinking about targets for this year. Personally I would still like to bank a 7lb chub from the H.Avon as I’ve had quite a number from the D.Stour. When the rivers are in flood it will be perching to see whether I can break the 4lb mark for the first time.
One other is landing a double figure bream. I’ve not fished for them before and have lined up a lake in Oxfordshire that doesn’t get too much pressure. I’m going to be fishing for them mostly in April. Tench will be the quarry in late spring then back on the rivers again for chub and barbel.
Pike will also feature along the way. I have a cunning plan lined up for a trip to the H.Avon where there are some good ones that are not often fished for, but more of that later.
