Late Dec 2013 and lots of news in the AT and CAT
So that was Christmas over for 2013.
The fishing weather was fine however the height of the rivers was really high in fact the D.Stour set another record for it’s highest level ever recorded. Here are a few river height’s for Boxing Day this year.
Here is a photo of Jim in the Angling Times and his very large barbel he caught just before I went on holiday. It’s a great Xmas gift.
Then again there has been plenty of news of my catches in late autumn this year. The first one being of some of the large chub that I caught on the H.Avon in Nov.
Then I was advertised as the front cover that never was in Coarse Angling Today. The photo wasn’t of a good enough quality in my book.
So this ended up as the front cover and a much better image for Jan 2014.
The article though was one that I had written about 2 years previous and was shocked to see it in print. But here it is.
Then in another Angling Times for the Xmas bumper edition of a chub 6lbs 5oz.
So that was a flurry from the press for the last couple of months.
Back to the rivers I’m unsure whether I’ll venture out too much until the levels reduce. But then again it’s time for perch and I’ll start venturing out for them on a couple of venues while the rivers are out of sorts.
I have a guiding day planned for pike early next week on the upper Bristol Avon that could see conditions just right.
