Andrea and John fishing the river Wye for barbel
Again time is very short and it’s more of a picture story this blog!
Andrea is from Italy and I’ve guided him a few times when he has visited UK. He was over this time presenting a paper about an Italian poet in Bristol and of course he had time to fish for one day.
Fellow Tench Fisher John was in staying in Wales on holiday and he wanted a few hours on the river Wye to see whether he could catch a few barbel.
Andrea and John fished together tanking it in turns to land each fish and we ended with plenty. Andrea had never caught a barbel before and ended with one of 8lbs 4oz plus plenty of others.
John was filling in time while his wife went horse riding. So he was just so pleased to be fishing. He ended with barbel to 9lbs. Again I’ll let the photo’s do the talking.
