Colin and Brian go fishing on the river Wye
Please read the previous two blogs too!
Again I’ve just returned from holiday and time is short. I’m busy guiding and as normal doing plenty of stuff. Not only this but I’ve had a cold for 4 weeks that I just can’t shift. So an emergency visit to the Doc’s see’s me having to take some antibiotics to clear it up. On hols at times I was having to go to bed at 9pm so not the best of times.
Anyhow soon I hope to be fit and well again.
On with the story, Brian lives in Madrid and Brian in London. They were university mates and each year they try and link up to fish. I had guided them before and knew what might suit them. So the river Wye was chosen as the location. They were to stay in Ross for a few days and with there being a few good restaurants they had plenty of time to catch up.
The two days fishing was good in very difficult conditions, with the river being very clear and low. However over the two days they had plenty of great barbel up to 9lbs 12oz. There were plenty of 8lbers too.
Similar to the last few blogs I’ll let the photo’s do the talking.
