David and Mike on the river Wye

I had guided Dave before on numerous occasions. Tench, pike, barbel and chub. This time he wanted to have a session with Mike one of his friends. Mike is a keen sea fisherman and had never caught a barbel before.

Dave wanted to give Mike a special day as within the week Mike was going off to live in Australia.

So we met on the banks of the river Wye. The river was high but fining down after a recent flood.

The day went well and we caught about 11 barbel.

I’m not going to write too much in the next few posts as events that have changed my life took over.
