Bristol Avon magic (Turn on the volume)
Its 1982 and I join one of the best syndicates on the Bristol Avon. My heart has stayed here and I’ve been loyal. I’ve caught huge barbel to over 12lbs many roach to well over 2lbs. plus the 27lb+ pike. The reason I’ve stayed is that the guy’s have been working hard on river habitat improvement although the river is now a shadow of what it once was. I had the river record grayling at one time with one well over 2lbs.
A good chub would be one just over 4lbs.
There is a good head of native brown trout now. I think the great seasons for the barbel is due to the great spawning year of 1976.
The roach are returning and I’m targeting a 1lb plus one this year. There are some huge dace too. Don’t think I’m going to better my BA pb of 3lbs 2oz fish or my pb of 3lbs 13oz fish from Willow lake. Turn the volume on
