Another session on the river Wye

I have been trying some rigs on the river Wye in preparation of using them on the river Trent later in the year. This has been my second visit to the river recently. It’s a stretch just above Ross-on-Wye.

I seldom fish it often, as the H.Avon is my preferred river of choice. The stretch does produce plenty of bigger barbel too.

The river was still low and clear and has seen the barbel reluctant to feed. Normally you can catch plenty of barbel however I’m unsure about today.
