April and May Tench fishing

Tench fishing got off to a reasonable start in April. Plenty of fish and a beauty of 9lbs 6oz. The weather patterns are defiantly changing and the spring are coming earlier. Our Tench Fishers National was cancelled due to carp spawning. And most of May the lake was closed due to this. Plus I had 2 weeks in Cape Verde which gave me some great sea fish as per normal.

To be fair I just couldn’t wait for the season to open on the rivers.

Andy (you should have been here yesterday) Cowley spent the first 2 weeks of June in India Masheer fishing so wouldn’t be joining me until 17th June.
